Mel Robbins ‘When you change the way you think; you get to change your life’

Thoughts are energy and the energy you put into the invisible realm (the quantum field) you will attract back into your life. To change your thoughts from your negative default mode you need to become a deliberate thinker. You need to think ‘on purpose’. You need to shift away from rehearsing the limiting beliefs you are constantly thinking (we think between 60 and 80 000 thoughts a day and 80% of these thoughts we think over and over again) and consciously choose anchoring and empowering thoughts that you want to grow. Thoughts create your beliefs and cause emotions which lead your behaviour which influences your outcomes.

This is a skill that you need to practice, like any new skill you learn, until it becomes a habit which then changes your default mode of thinking (your subconscious mind is like a computer program-what you program into it will come out; your conscious mind is the CEO which instructs your subconscious mind what to think-it gives you 85% of your results versus only 5% that your conscious mind gives you).

This is a daily process; not a ‘one and done’. You need to do a Mindset Reset-when those self deprecating thoughts pop into your head from your default mode, you need to be aware of them, catch them and then direct the thought to something deliberate and more empowering. For example, the thought we all think is: ‘I’m not good enough’ change it by anchoring an empowering thought instead, like: ‘I have all the resourcefulness inside of me; I am unique with unique gifts and talents to offer the world’. Accept where you are at the moment and do a personal declaration that ‘I am exactly where I need to be right now and I am progressing and growing into the highest, truest version of myself’. This will not only change your vibration energy but it will transcend into your physiology and will influence your behavior-you will start acting like a person of great worth and potential and you will move towards fulfilling your goals of your life’s passion and purpose.

TRUTH: There is a lesson in everything we go through, but we will only move to the next lesson when you learn the lesson. If you keep repeating the old pattern, the lesson the universe wants to teach you will keep showing up in a different form.

There is no experience in life that is wasted-for everything there is a purpose in building your character to evolve to the highest expression of yourself.

Learn to ask for what you need-by doing this you are honouring the best part of you. STOP beating yourself up with self-deprecating thoughts-it will keep you stuck in the same pattern and you won’t develop into the best expression of who you were born to be. Instead, start thinking about how far you’ve come and give yourself acknowledgement for your progress. Remind yourself that the Universe is there to support you, not break you.

TAKE ACTION: ask: ‘What is your main limiting belief about yourself?’ Write it down. Then ask, where did I adopt this negative belief? Is this belief true? Was I born with this limitation? No, we were born with a default mode of love, peace and power.

You adopted beliefs from your primary caregivers as you didn’t have the mental capacity or identity to choose which beliefs you wanted to program into your subconscious mind. A lot of the beliefs you adopted are negative and do not support your goals. Make a distinction in your mind of which beliefs no longer serve you, and which ones need to be rewired in your brain.

To unwire a negative belief you need to be aware of it, and then choose to replace it with an anchoring and empowering thought. Write it down-writing brings it more into your special awareness so that you can start rewiring your negative beliefs. Now you can start creative visualization by imagining you already have that belief encoded in your brain. On your mental screen (which is like a movie screen) you can act out the belief and imagine how you would feel once you are living this belief. The intention goes out like an electric wave and the emotion draws the experience back to you, like a magnet. Your brain doesn’t know the difference between what is imagined and what is real, so your subconscious mind will align your vibration energy and it will influence the things you attract in your life. It will also change your bio-chemistry in your body (by releasing endorphins, serotonin and dopamine-the feel-good chemicals) and will raise your vibration and enhance your sense of well-being, which will influence your behavior in a positive and empowering way.
